Care and Maintenance of Air Compressors

Air compressor is a vital power equipment in industrial production, scientific care and maintenance can not only ensure efficient and stable operation of the equipment, but also significantly extend its service life and reduce the failure rate. The following are the key points for daily maintenance and repair of air compressor:

1. Routine cleaning

Regular cleaning of the surface of the air compressor and its surroundings helps to prevent the accumulation of dust, grease, impurities and moisture to avoid affecting the heat dissipation and operating efficiency of the equipment. It is recommended to use special cleaning agent or soft cleaning cloth when cleaning, and it is strictly prohibited to use corrosive chemicals to avoid damaging the surface of the equipment. Before operating the cleaning operation, be sure to cut off the power supply of the air compressor and release the remaining air in the system to ensure safety.

2. Inspection and replacement of filter elements

Filter element can effectively block impurities from entering the air compressor system, which is an important link to ensure the stable operation of the equipment. It is recommended to check the air filter element at least once a quarter, and replace it in time if necessary according to the actual use environment and equipment condition. If the working environment is dusty, the inspection and replacement cycle should be shortened to maintain air quality at a high standard.

3. Oil inspection and replacement

The lubricating oil of the air compressor will be mixed with water and impurities during long-term operation, which will reduce the lubrication effect and affect the normal operation of the equipment. It is recommended to replace the oil at least once a year, the specific replacement cycle can refer to the equipment manufacturer's instructions and the actual operating time, and check the oil level and oil condition when replacing, to keep the lubrication system clean.

4. Maintenance of compressed air dryers

The drier can effectively remove excess moisture from compressed air and prevent piping and equipment from being corroded. The dryer components (such as adsorbent, filter element, etc.) should be inspected regularly and replaced in time according to the type of equipment to ensure the dryness and cleanliness of the output gas, reduce the burden on the air compressor and prolong the life of the whole system.

5. Belt inspection and replacement

The drive belt of the air compressor is prone to wear and tear, aging or fracture after long-term use, and the belt should be checked every six months to a year. If the belt is found to be slack, cracked, damaged, it should be replaced immediately to prevent the impact of equipment transmission and efficiency.

6. Sensor inspection

All kinds of pressure, temperature and other sensors in the air compressor system may lose accuracy or fail with the prolongation of operation time. It is recommended to test the sensitivity and accuracy of all sensors regularly, and if there is any abnormality, they should be repaired or replaced in time to ensure that the system's automatic protection and alarm function is normal.

7. Pipeline and component clearance checks

If the connecting pipes of the equipment are blocked, deformed or leaked, it will affect the pressure transmission and efficiency of the air compressor system. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check whether the pipeline connection of the whole system is smooth and tight, and if necessary, use special cleaning equipment to clean up the deposits and impurities inside the pipeline to eliminate the hidden danger of operation.
